An investigation into the stabbing of a 14-year-old Sydney boy has uncovered guns and drugs at homes raided by police, with three men arrested.

Police charged two men, 23 and 25, with the attempted murder of the boy, who suffered multiple stab wounds in a altercation in Fairfield on August 7.

The 25-year old and another man, 29, were also charged with possessing unauthorised firearms.

Police uncovered pistols, a pen gun and cannabis during their search of three properties in Fairfield Heights, Fairfield and Cabramatta.

Both the 23- and 25-year-old were refused bail, with the older man expected to face the Fairfield Local Court on Wednesday, while the younger man will next appear at the same court on September 28.
