Well, that wasn’t a "great success". During an appearance on Sunrise, Isla Fisher shut down host Sam Armytage's attempt to ask about her husband, Sacha Baron Cohen.

On the morning show to promote her new children's book, Marge in Charge, the 40-year-old Aussie actress balked when Sam lightly said of her comedian husband, "Please tell me he reads to the kids in funny voices."

"He's not here doing the interview," Isla answered, still smiling but visibly uncomfortable.

"I don't like talking about my private life."

Isla Fisher: Life in pictures But the Wedding Crashers star bounced back quickly, adding, "Yes, I think there's a lot of mischief that goes on in our house and a lot of fun." After first meeting at a Sydney party in 2002, Isla eventually wed the Borat funnyman, 44, in Paris in 2010.

They share daughters Olive, 8, and Elula, 5, and son Montgomery, 13 months. While she's admitted "it's definitely not a normal relationship", through the years the Oman-born actress has consistently praised her controversial spouse. "Life is filled with highs and lows, and you have a best friend to share it with you," she said in 2012.

"It's amazing. It's like winning the lottery, having a good partner."
