Police are still hunting a man wanted over a brutal double stabbing at a Gold Coast home.

David Charles Brown, 50, is wanted in relation to the alleged attack in the Helensvale home just before 10pm on Wednesday.

Police have warned he may be armed and are advising members of the public to call police if they see him.

It's alleged Brown and another man, 57, forced their way into the home and stabbed the two men aged 46 and 48 multiple times.

The victims were stabbed in the shoulder and upper abdomen and are currently in a stable condition in the Gold Coast University Hospital.

It has been reported that one of the victim is Brown's brother but a police spokesman could only say they are related.

A woman who was also at the home at the time was not injured.

The 57-year-old man in custody has been charged with attempted murder and is due to face Southport Magistrates Court today.
