The party's over for Queensland teenagers but more school leavers are expected on the Gold Coast over the next two weeks.

Interstate schoolies are heading to Surfers Paradise after the end of the Queensland leaver celebrations.

With the majority of interstate teenagers being 18 years of age and over, police say they will shift their focus to licensed venues.

A total of 71 school leavers were arrested during the Gold Coast celebrations, up from 37 the year before.

One 17-year-old boy suffered a fractured pelvis after he fell two floors from a balcony at Surfers Paradise on Thursday.
