Kanye West is taking a major break from performing following his breakdown last month that landed him in a hospital for over a week.

The ‘Famous’ rapper, 39, has canceled the European leg of his Saint Pablo tour, which included tour dates in Paris, the U.K. and Germany, according to TMZ.

The site previously reported that Kanye’s psych hospitalisation put the 2017 portion on hold, but the music artist reportedly insisted at the time that the tour would go on.

Instead, Kanye’s team contacted concert promoter Live Nation and told them the European dates were officially cancelled. Luckily, no dates had been set for the tour yet and no tickets were sold.

Aside from that, Kanye reportedly has an insurance policy in place that reimburses him for any lost profits or expenses associated with cancellations that result from a medical condition.

News of the European tour cancellation comes after Kanye cancelled the 21 remaining dates of his U.S. tour after he was hospitalised for exhaustion and diagnosed with temporary psychosis in November.

Kanye has since returned to the public eye, and was recently spotted stepping out with wife Kim Kardashian West, 36, for a dinner date for the first time since her Paris robbery. He also made waves when he visited president-elect Donald Trump in New York City.

His return has not been void of controversy (to say the least). Aside from his meet-up with Donald, Kanye reportedly paid a quarter of a million dollars to a family member who threatened to release a sex tape of the star that was filmed before his marriage to Kim, Daily Mail reported.

Perhaps he should take a little more time away from the spotlight.
