Kimberley Walsh has welcomed her second child with husband Justin Scott.

The former Girls Aloud star - who already has son Bobby with Justin - announced the happy news on Twitter on Wednesday evening.

Writing to her 700,000 followers, she shared: "We have another beautiful baby boy. Couldn't be happier."

The singer publicly announced the news in June, revealing she and Justin found out she was expecting just a few weeks after their wedding in January.

She said at the time: "We knew soon after we got married that we'd be very happy for baby number two to come along. When I first met Justin 14 years ago, I told him I wanted four children ... We're both over the moon.

"Before I had even taken a test, I knew it instinctively. I wasn't suffering from morning sickness but telltale changes in my body made me certain I was expecting. When I took a home test early one morning to make sure, it confirmed what I'd already sensed. I was thrilled. The first thing I did was to wake up Justin and tell him, 'You're going to be a daddy again!' "

Over the weekend, Kimberley looked ready to pop when she posted a Christmassy snap as she showed-off her bump in a form-fitting black dress and festive Santa hat.

The 35-year-old wrote: "Getting excited to meet this little one! #christmasbaby #ifonlysantacouldpopitdownthechimney".

Her post quickly amassed over 25 thousand likes from fans, who seemed as keen as Kimberley for the arrival of the new little tot.

And just yesterday Kimberley seemingly confirmed her best friend Cheryl Cole's pregnancy in an adorable speech.

"Cheryl's really happy," she told Closer magazine.

"I'm just happy that she's happy. And she'll be a brilliant mum. She has loads of nieces and nephews, so she's used to the madness of children.

"Both she and Nicola [Roberts] are naturally good with kids," Kimberley went on. "I think they've both always planned to settle down and have a family."

Meanwhile, Liam Payne reportedly wants to propose to Cheryl immediately after she gives birth to their first child.

The One Direction star - whose girlfriend is 'pregnant' - is said to have been inspired by the way Kimberley Walsh's partner popped the question in the delivery room, and he seemingly wants to do the same thing for her former Girls Aloud bandmate.

"Liam got the idea to propose straight after the birth after finding out that Justin popped the question after the delivery of their first child," a source told the Daily Star.

"It’s given Liam so many ideas. There will definitely be wedding bells sooner than we expected".
