On a two-party preferred basis Labor remained at 53 per cent to the government's 47 per cent, The Australian reports. That's the same record level is was the previous fortnight.

The Coalition's primary vote has declined to 38 per cent, tied with Labor's reading, while support for independents is up at 14 per cent and the Greens are static at 10 per cent.
