A member of an alleged Sydney ice-dealing syndicate who fled to Melbourne in a $4500 taxi ride has refused to appear in court.

Ho Ming Sze didn't apply for bail when his matter was briefly mentioned at Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday afternoon and he will remain in custody ahead of an appearance at Central Local Court on Wednesday.

The 28-year-old Chinese national is alleged to be the fourth member of a criminal cabal from which about $45-million of ice was seized after 3kg of the drug was found in a car on July 22 when police stopped a driver for talking on his mobile phone.
