Man hit by bus near Kosciuszko dies

A 73-year-old man has died in hospital after being hit by a bus near Kosciuszko in the NSW Snowy Mountains two weeks' ago.

The man had parked his car near the entry of the national park and was trying to cross the busy Alpine Way at about 3.30pm on Friday August 5 when he was hit by the bus.

He suffered head injuries and a fractured leg but died in Canberra hospital on Thursday, police said.

In another NSW road fatality, a truck driver has died in Sydney in a collision involving two trucks in the city's southwest in the early hours of Friday.

The man, believed to aged in his 50s, died at the scene of the Padstow smash on Fairford Road.
