A man forcibly removed a woman's singlet and exposed her chest to another man in a failed threesome bid, a Queensland court has heard.

Troy Allan Burley, 38, fronted the Brisbane District Court on Wednesday having pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting the woman in the Moreton Bay region in March 2015.

In his opening, Crown prosecutor Jacob Robson said the pair had known each other for two years and developed a relationship via exchanged letters, phone calls and sexually explicit emails.

They had consensual sex when they eventually met up at a motel but the woman, 47, was surprised when Burley returned later in the evening with another man, the jury heard.

Mr Robson said the clearly uncomfortable woman was trying to cover herself with a bed sheet when Burley moved closer and kissed her.

"The defendant kissed her, she kissed him back, dropping the sheet she was protecting herself with," he said.

It's alleged he then removed her singlet, ignoring her protests, after telling the other man: "Look at these big tits".

The court heard Burley continued to be "demeaning and degrading" towards the woman.

Mr Robson said the other man was not expecting an "unwilling participant" when he came to the motel and left.

The accused later told her she would have to have sex with his friends if she wanted to continue their relationship, Mr Robson said.

"She told him that was disgusting and she wasn't interested in that," he said.

The trial before Judge Richard Jones continues.
