Man stabbed at south Sydney bus stop

A man has been stabbed during a daylight dispute at a bus stop in south Sydney.

The 39-year-old was sitting with a friend at the Kogarah stop on Sunday afternoon when a man known to him approached armed with a knife.

Police say the 30-year-old attacker stabbed the man in the abdomen before fleeing.

He remains on the run, while the injured man has been taken to St George Hospital in a stable condition.
