Four men are being interviewed by police over a car park fight outside a Gold Coast fast-food restaurant which led to a man being stabbed and another assaulted.

It is alleged two groups of men - comprising two and four men respectively - argued inside the restaurant on the Gold Coast Highway at Burleigh Heads late on Friday night before the exchange became physical in the car park shortly after.

Police say a 26-year-old local man was stabbed in the back and taken to Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while a 33-year-old was struck in the face.

A gun was also found nearby by police.

After fleeing on foot, all four men from one group were arrested nearby and are now assisting police.
