Two men are still on the run after shooting a Brisbane man in the torso at a caravan park in Brisbane earlier this week.

The 54-year-old victim, Wayne Dean, is fighting for his life in the Princess Alexandra Hospital after being shot just after 4am on Monday in Sunnybank Hills.

Police belive it may have been a robbery which went wrong and are calling for anyone who may have been driving near the incident at Hellawell Road to come forward with dash-cam footage.

They say the two men drove to the caravan park and briefly argued with Mr Dean before opening fire.

A man who was staying with the victim gave him first aid before paramedics arrived.

He remains in a critical condition in an induced coma.
