A man's body has been found in south Sydney, believed to be a 64-year-old missing for almost a week.

Paul Parkinson was last seen at his home on Vaughan Street in Blakehurst last Monday and police believe he may have been in a minor car crash that afternoon.

A body yet to be formally identified, but believed to be Mr Parkinson, was discovered at Pleasant Way in Blakehurst on Sunday evening.

His death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
