Victoria's Environment Protection Authority will host a town meeting for concerned residents after more asbestos was found at a site linked to the demolished Corkman Irish Pub in Melbourne.

The asbestos was found at Cairnlea this week despite the EPA receiving an clearance letter last Friday from lawyers acting for the owners of the site.

It's alleged the asbestos came from the Carlton pub site and was carted through Melbourne streets before being dumped at Cairnlea.

The information meeting will be held at Cairnlea Town Centre shopping centre from 4pm until 7pm on Thursday.
