Two men will face court charged with bestiality and torture in relation to a pig and several chickens on the NSW north coast.

Police arrested the pair, 20 and 22, on Thursday afternoon after 10 dead chickens were found with broken necks and bones on a commercial permaculture farm in Nimbin the day before.

Workers at the farm came across the chickens, as well as 12-year-old pig Polly, which was found with serious internal and external injuries.

Several tools were also missing.

The pair, who are in custody, will face Lismore Local Court on Friday charged with one count each of bestiality, two counts of torture, and beating and causing the death of an animal.
