Two men have been charged after two separate stabbings in Queensland.

A 24-year-old was knifed in the chest when he got into a fight with a relative in Mackay on Tuesday night.

He also suffered a slash wound to his stomach and was taken to Mackay hospital in a stable condition.

His alleged attacker fled but was found nearby soon afterwards. He has since been charged with wounding and will front Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Thursday.

The second man was stabbed just before 3am on Wednesday, in a fight in Bundaberg.

Police say the men had been drinking before a fight broke out and the victim, 29, was wounded in the stomach.

He was taken to the Bundaberg Base Hospital in a stable condition.

His alleged attacker, 23, has been charged with wounding and is due to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on January 30.
