The man accused of torching a Brisbane bus driver to death has had three more attempted murder charges brought against him.

Anthony O'Donohue, 48, was charged with murder, 11 counts of attempted murder and one count of arson over the horrific attack in Moorooka in late October.

O'Donohue is alleged to have thrown an "incendiary item" at 29-year-old bus driver Manmeet Alisher as passengers were boarding.

Mr Alisher died at the scene and many more could have died if not for the heroic actions of taxi driver Aguek Nyok who kicked in the back door of the bus to help passengers escape the blaze.

Police have since spoken with three additional passengers and O'Donohue will appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday to face the three new charges.
