The body of a motorcyclist has been found by a passer-by in a paddock in Sydney's west.

The body was discovered in Greendale in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Initial investigations suggest the rider died after the bike crashed into a fence and a tree.

Police believe the rider may have been at the scene sometime before being discovered.

The death comes less than 24 hours after an 82-year-old man died when the car he was in hit a tree in central west NSW at Koorawatha near Cowra on Monday afternoon.
