Houston Rockets point guard Patrick Beverley has blasted a survey of NBA general managers that rated Australia's Matthew Dellavedova tougher than him.

Beverley almost didn't make the list.

The Memphis Grizzlies' Tony Allen topped the poll, followed by the San Antonio Spurs' Kawhi Leonard, Oklahoma City Thunder duo Russell Westbrook and Kiwi Steven Adams third and fourth respectively and Golden State Warriors' Draymond Green was fifth.

Dellavedova, who just joined the Milwaukee Bucks, was equal sixth with his former Cleveland Cavaliers' teammate LeBron James.

"Wow I didn't make that list wow!!! But delly are u kidding???" Beverley tweeted.

Beverley fell in the "also receiving votes" category with Jimmy Butler, Kyle Lowry and Isaiah Thomas.

When a fan on Twitter stuck up for Dellavedova and said the Australian was able to shut down Warriors' NBA MVP Steph Curry, Beverley gave Dellavedova another lashing.

Beverley referred to the 2015 Finals series when Dellavedova was hospitalised after guarding Curry.

"Steph didn't play our (series), (Dellavedova) had to get a IV bag after and golden state won the chip," Beverley replied.

"I'm confused."
