West Australia Premier Colin Barnett is unfazed that Pauline Hanson has set her sights on the state and dismissed claims preference deals are being struck with One Nation for the March 11 election.

"The Liberal Party would expect to come first or second in every seat in the state election," he told reporters on Sunday.

"Our preferences as a party will go to the National Party, it's as simple as that."

Senator Hanson's One Nation party will target the WA upper house by standing candidates in each region of the Legislative Council.

Sources have also told the Sunday Times One Nation is planning to run candidates in lower house seats, focused on regional areas.

"Western Australia can be assured that Pauline Hanson's One Nation will be running candidates in all regions of the Legislative Council, with nominations under way and interviews on potential candidates well under way," she told the Sunday Times.
