NSW robber assaults police

A man has been charged with stealing goods, including guns, worth more than $60,000 and assaulting police during a break-in in NSW's central west.

The 27-year-old was caught at the Wellington property early on Friday and charged with 17 offences including breaking and entering, stealing, firearms possession and assaulting and resisting police.

The officer sustained minor injuries and the alleged intruder was refused bail to appear in Dubbo Local Court on Saturday.
