A Sydney teenager will face court on three counts of police pursuit after allegedly leading police on multiple high-speed chases through the streets of Sydney in a stolen car.

Police say a sports car, stolen from a panel beaters in Bondi in Sydney's east on Friday afternoon, was spotted on the streets of Liverpool in Sydney's west around 6.30pm.

The unlicensed driver allegedly sped off and ran a red light when approached by police, who were forced to abandon several chases due to safety concerns before eventually tracking the car on the Princes Highway.

Despite losing a front tire, the car drove on rims until it spun out of control, with the driver arrested at 9pm at Wolli Creek.

He is set to face children's court on Saturday.
