The Queensland government will unveil the details of a review into the state's parole system on Tuesday, two weeks after the brutal Townsville death that sparked the probe.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said the review was discussed at a cabinet meeting held at the Brisbane Royal Show but they did not tackle a report into ride-sharing service Uber.

The parole system sat at the top of her list of issues to discuss at cabinet.

A review into the parole system was ignited following the stabbing death of an 81-year-old woman in her Townsville home in late July.

The man charged with her death had only been recently released from jail on parole.

"We are finalising the terms of reference into the parole review," Ms Palaszczuk said.

As for a recent report into Uber, she said she was still discussing it with the relevant minister and they were "still working through that report."

On another front, Ms Palaszczuk said she knew there had been problems on the set of the Hollywood franchise Thor, which is being filmed on the Gold Coast, and government was working with producers to work through "preliminary issues" .

She did not reveal the issues.
