The death of a man in a Perth hospital is being investigated, with police looking at whether he was given a dangerous amount of blood-pressure raising drugs.

The 60-year-old, who has not been identified, was brought to the Fiona Stanley Hospital during the week but a few days after arriving his blood pressure dropped to life-threatening low levels, Perth Now reports.

It's believed a nurse accidentally administered too much of a drug which increased his blood pressure and the man was on Wednesday pronounced dead after suffering a brain aneurysm.
