Police are looking for two men who tricked a 91-year-old Perth man into paying for roof repairs he didn't need.

Between June 21 and 24, the men went to the man's Maylands home several times, telling him his roof needed urgent repairs then offering to take him to the bank to withdraw money.

The men drove him in a dark grey dual cab ute to different banks, where he withdrew large amounts of cash.

On the final trip, a teller stopped the man making another withdrawal, causing the offenders to drive off and leave the elderly man stranded.

One of the men is described as being aged between 25 and 35, fair skinned, of medium build and clean shaven with short dark hair. He was wearing dark shorts and a dark coloured t-shirt.

The other offender is thought to be aged between 45 and 55 and was wearing a red t-shirt.
