Play has finally commenced on day three of the third Test between Australia and Pakistan in Sydney.

A minimum of 54 overs have been set after rain wiped out the first session and then set in again after lunch on Thursday.

Pakistan, seeking to avoid a 3-0 series loss, are 2-126 in their first innings with Younis Khan on 64 and Azhar Ali on 58.

Australia amassed a total of 8(dec)-538 following centuries from David Warner, Matt Renshaw and Peter Handscomb.

More rain is forecast for the final two days.
