The federal and Tasmanian governments have announced nearly $7 million in funds to help repair the state's parks and reserves damaged devastating floods five months ago.

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and Premier Will Hodgman say Tasmania's world-renowned national parks and tourism industry were particularly affected by the floods.

The $6.84 million will be used to repair damage and clean up recreational facilities such as picnic areas, walking tracks and community amenities.
