Police charge man on cop ID fraud

A man has been caught allegedly trying to sell fake police and government identities on the dark net.

Following an investigation, police raided a number of places in Castlemaine and Hurstbridge on Tuesday, seizing fake security identities, including Borderforce, Aviation and Maritime passes and computer equipment.

A 44-year-old Castelmaine man has been charged and will appear in Bendigo Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
