Kevin Spratt, who made international headlines after being repeatedly tasered by two West Australian policemen in 2008, is back behind bars after a series of alleged attacks on officers.

Spratt appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday charged with assaulting police and a hospital worker.

He faces more than a dozen charges in total stemming from incidents on December 21, 24 and 26 in which he bit and spat at public officers.

Spratt was remanded in custody to appear in court again next month.

The Aboriginal man was repeatedly tasered at the East Perth watch house in August 2008 after he refused a strip search.

Two police officers were later convicted of assault.
