A farm business in North Queensland has been fined $125,000 for the death of a female worker.

The 21-year-old from the UK died while using a quad bike to muster cattle in 2013, sustaining fatal head injuries when she fell off the bike.

The company pleaded guilty in the Townsville Magistrates Court recently to having failed to meet its duties under workplace health and safety laws, according to Workplace Health and Safety Queensland.
