Queensland police officers involved in a fraud prevention operation have been cleared of allegations of misusing funds, resources and a corporate credit card.

The state's Crime and Corruption Commission agreed with a public interest review of Project Synergy that 12 of 17 allegations could not be substantiated, and after considering the further five allegations also found there was insufficient grounds for prosecution.

"However, the CCC is of the view there are sufficient grounds to warrant consideration of disciplinary action in relation to the failure to comply with financial management practices and other QPS policies," the CCC said in a report tabled to parliament on Thursday.
