A former Kleenmaid director has been convicted of fraud and insolvent trading, ending a marathon trial in Brisbane.

Bradley Wendel Young had pleaded not guilty to the counts at the start of his Brisbane District Court trial in April.

But a jury on Friday found him guilty of one count of fraud and 17 of insolvent trading.

However, he was acquitted of one count of the latter offence.

A woman ran from the court crying as the jury announced its decision on each of the counts, while other supporters wept in the public gallery.

Judge Brad Farr thanked the jurors for their part in the lengthy trial, which lasted 71 days, after they announced their findings.

Young is expected to be sentenced next Friday.
