A man who was bashed, bound and forced into the boot of a car north of Brisbane was found unconscious by the side of the road.

Police say three men got into an argument at a Caboolture home on Sunday morning before two of them stole the other man's credit cards.

They left the house but returned and assaulted the 33-year-old man.

He was bound and forced into the boot of a car.

The pair allegedly drove around before dumping the man by the side of the road in Woodford an hour later.

He was found unconscious by a passing motorist and taken to Caboolture Hospital.

Police have arrested a 27-year-old man on a number of charges including assault and deprivation of liberty.

He is due to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on Monday.
