A robbery of a betting outlet by an unarmed man wearing a cowboy hat in Brisbane's south is one of three weekend thefts being investigated by police.

CCTV footage captured the man using a betting computer at the Capalaba TAB before he demanded cash from a female employee on Sunday afternoon.

He left with the cash and was last seen wearing a dark polo shirt, shorts and a brown cowboy hat with a buckle around the rim.

Police are also investigating a break-in at the Mansfield Tavern in the early hours of Sunday morning. Two men armed with a knife and a screwdriver allegedly threatened staff before fleeing with a large amount of cash.

In a separate incident at midday on Sunday, a man armed with a crowbar demanded jewellery from a Cash Converters store in Wynnum West.

Police don't believe the three incidents are linked.
