A man wanted over the stabbing of two men on the Gold Coast on Wednesday night is still on the run, while an alleged accomplice prepares to apply for bail.

Police are still searching for David Charles Brown, 50, who they warn may be armed.

Brown, a brother of one of the victims, and his alleged accomplice, Mark Jenner, 57, are accused of forcing their way into a Helensvale home and stabbing the two men, aged 46 and 48.

Both victims were taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition with stab wounds to their chests and shoulders.

Jenner was to appear before Southport Magistrates Court on Friday to apply for bail on charges of attempted murder and wounding.
