The family of a western Sydney man fatally stabbed two years ago hope a $100,000 reward will help find his killer.

Samer Kirnawi, 21, turned up at Fairfield Hospital in August 2014 after being stabbed in the neck at Greenfield Park.

Police say he had gone to the intersection of Smithfield Road and Mistral Street at Greenfield Park, before being attacked.

Doctors were unable to save him.

Two men arrested over Mr Kirnawi's death were later released.

Now the NSW government is offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to a conviction.

Mr Kirnawi's father, Arkan Kirnawi, said on Friday he hoped the reward would give someone the push needed to contact police.

"We miss our son terribly and want to see justice served," he said in a statement.
