Host Ryan Seacrest — who will man the mic for the ABC special New Year's Rockin' Eve Saturday — found himself trapped in an elevator on his way up to the infamous Times Square ball on Friday morning.

"We're trying to get up to the ball in Times Square w/ @GMA (Good Morning America)," he wrote on Twitter, along with a video announcing they were stuck.

Seacrest and a group of people were meant to head up to the ball for "GMA" when they ended up spending about 40 minutes in the elevator.

The 42-year-old host ultimately made it on the show and detailed his experience.

"If you ever been stuck in an elevator you know it's funny and cute for the first 10 minutes, but 20 minutes in it's not so funny anymore," he said.

"There are only so many Snapchats you can take."
