SA Attorney-General appointed SC

South Australia's Attorney-General John Rau is among six barristers who have been appointed as Senior Counsel.

Mr Rau, who is also SA's deputy premier and minister for justice reform, became a 'silk' on Tuesday alongside Graham Edmonds-Wilson, Scott Henchliffe, Emily Telfer, Simon Ower and Michael Wait.

Senior Counsel, formerly known in SA as Queen's Counsel, are senior barristers appointed by the Judges of the Supreme Court.
