A senior South Australian policeman accused of stalking his estranged wife has been allowed to live at the home he allegedly threatened to blow up, sparking a police siege.

Chief Inspector Ashley Francis Gordon's home detention bail conditions have been amended to allow him to live at the Blackwood unit he allegedly threatened to blow up during the breakdown of his marriage.

In the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Wednesday, Gordon, 54, also requested to be allowed to see his children without supervision but the decision was postponed until Friday so prosecutors can first talk to the kids.
