South Australia's cabinet has hit the road, with ministers spreading across the storm-ravaged state to speak with locals affected by the wild weather.

"The state cabinet is keen to get out on the ground. Many will be going out today to talk face-to-face with their constituents," Police Minister Peter Malinauskas told reporters on Friday.

Mr Malinauskas will visit the flood-hit towns of Gawler and Greenock, Premier Jay Weatherill and Health Minister Jack Snelling will head to the Eyre Peninsula, Transport Minister Stephen Mulligan will be in the mid-north and Treasurer Tom Koutsantonis is travelling to Whyalla.
