SA nurses rally over parental leave plan

South Australian nurses and midwives will protest against the federal government's proposed changes to paid parental leave on Monday afternoon.

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation's SA branch says workers will rally outside the Women's and Children's Hospital in Adelaide to urge SA senators not to support the coalition's plans to reduce paid parental leave.

The changes would prevent new parents receiving the full 18 weeks of government-funded leave if their employer offers a more generous scheme.
