The premier will attend a community meeting in Renmark on Wednesday and then take to the Murray by boat to see for himself the strong flows this year after good winter rains upstream.

Despite the high water levels, Mr Weatherill has demanded the federal government live up to its promise to deliver extra environmental flows down the Murray so that it can continue to survive in times of drought.

The plan was called into question by Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce recently who suggested some of the promised water couldn't be delivered without hurting upstream communities, something prohibited under the legislated agreement.
