Well here's a would-be celebrity couple who are DOA before they even got going.

In a blistering Facebook post, Shane Warne has accused socialite Brynne Edelsten of calling the paparazzi to take photos of them together at her place on Wednesday night. Need publicity? Why, call Warnie!

The 46-year-old former cricketer didn't find it funny in the least.

Listen to this one. After a fun night raising money for breast cancer in Geelong last night, me and a few friends plus Brynne Edelsten went out for a couple of drinks," Shane wrote.

"Brynne then invited me back to her place around 1am for a nightcap. When I arrived, paparazzi were conveniently waiting outside her home to get the pic, coincidence? I left instantly and thought how sad is that!"

That's a shame, because the 33-year-old former Mrs Geoffrey Edelsten would normally be quite his type.

Shane's luck wasn't so good either with Carmen Electra, whom he flirted with over the phone in I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!.

He told KIIS FM's Kyle and Jackie O this week: "I was in Miami a few weeks ago playing poker in a poker tournament and there were some exchanges with the manager, but I think Carmen is dating someone.

For the record, Shane and Brynne have a little history: She was rejected from the 2014 Logies after-party at Shane's Club 23 at Crown Casino. Apparently she didn't make the guest list, according to Mail Online.

It sounds like he had a good time at this year's Logies after-party, though...
