Police say a drive-by shooting at a home in Brisbane's south-west is linked to an ongoing dispute.

Three shots were fired at a Firefly Street home in Durack at 7.20pm on Thursday, damaging a garage door and a vehicle.

Five people - a man, a woman and three children - were inside the home but no one was injured.

The shots are believed to have been fired from a white sedan, which then drove to a nearby house occupied by relatives of the Firefly Street family.

Police say people were assaulted at the second home and the white sedan again sped away.
