Result: Sydney 18.10 (118) bt Adelaide 12.10 (82) at SCG

Key moment: The Crows rallied in the third quarter and reduced Sydney's buffer to 19 points when Eddie Betts kicked his second goal. The hosts quickly rushed the ball forward to young forward Tom Papley, who snapped a near-instant reply to effectively shut the door on Adelaide.

Key quote: "Last week we really struggled, so we had to really train that contested style of footy. That's when we are at our best ... our work-rate was up all day," Swans superstar LANCE FRANKLIN, who booted four goals.

Tribunal: The Swans are unlikely to attract the ire of the AFL's match review panel. Crows ruckman Sam Jacobs could make a delayed start to the 2017 season after a high bump on Ben McGlynn.

Injuries: Sydney co-captain Jarrad McVeigh (calf) and speedster Gary Rohan (leg) could both have played their final game of the year.

What's next: The Swans have a six-day break before they tackle Geelong at the MCG on Friday night, with the winner to face either Greater Western Sydney or Western Bulldogs in the grand final. Could the season decider be another Sydney derby?
