Two people have been charged after Northern Territory police seized drugs, cash and a taser overnight.

Police say a 35-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were speeding in a car in Darwin about 12.35am on Thursday.

They were pulled over on Rothdale Road in Jingili for driving 101km/h in a 60km/h zone.

"The Toyota Camry was subject to a roadside search," Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said.

"(It) allegedly uncovered 15 grams of methamphetamine, $7,485 cash, a diary containing information on the sale of illicit substances, paraphernalia and a taser."

The vehicle was seized and the pair was charged with a string of charges including possessing a trafficable quantity of a dangerous drug and possessing a prohibited weapon.
