South Australian businesses have saved more than $160 million through the first of a series of stamp duty tax reforms to be rolled out in the state.

Treasurer Tom Koutsantonis says 35 SA-based businesses have so far benefited from the abolition of stamp duty for companies restructuring the ownership of their property.

The measure is the first of a number of tax reforms announced in the 2015/16 state budget aimed at attracting business to SA.
