Teen stabbed in thigh at party

Two men and a teenage boy have been charged after an altercation at a party in NSW's Illawarra region left a 17-year-old boy with a stab wound to his thigh.

Police say the three alleged offenders first confronted and assaulted the 17-year-old and two of his friends at Albion Park Rail on Saturday before leaving then returning armed with knives.

Police were called but they had left before officers arrived .

It's alleged that early on Sunday the 19-year-old went to the party and during an altercation in the house the 17-year-old boy was stabbed in the thigh.

He was taken to Shellharbour Hospital for treatment.

Police on Sunday afternoon arrested the 19-year-old and charged him with wound person with intent, two counts of affray, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and armed with intent.

A 27-year-old man was also charged with affray, armed with intent and common assault and a 17-year-old boy was charged with affray and armed with intent.

All three were refused bail with the men to appear at Wollongong Local Court on Monday and the 17-year-old boy to appear in a Children's Court on September 19.
