Teens armed with hockey stick, golf club and metal pole allegedly robbed and kidnapped a man during a nine-hour crime spree across Melbourne.

Koang Jock, of Pakenham, Madel Rout, of Frankston, and Padiet Deng of Dandenong South, all 18, fronted the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Friday.

The trio are facing multiple charges including robbery, assault, unlawful imprisonment and making a threat to kill.

Police allege in one of the thefts, a man was kidnapped and forced to drive to an ATM to withdraw $1000 cash.

The victim was also assaulted during the ordeal and robbed of an X-Box and guitar.

A Ford Falcon, valued at $10,000, was stolen from a second man during the crime spree across the city's eastern and southern suburbs.

Other items stolen include laptops, iPhones, cameras, cash and jewellery in four home invasions.

In one burglary the accused threatened to kill a woman, court documents allege.

The resulting police operation had three schools in Wantirna placed in lockdown on Thursday, with children told to stay inside for about two hours.

A youth, aged 16, from Springvale, has also been charged over the burglaries and will face a Children's Court.

The three 18-year-olds have been remanded in custody to front court again on October 28.

Victoria Police have arrested more than 120 people as they attempt to tackle a spike in aggravated burglaries and carjackings.
